The Russell Glacier, Point 660, 18 miles east of Kangerlussuaq on the Arctic Circle in Greenland. This area of Greenland has seen the most surface melt of all Greenland, likely in excess of 200 vertical feet. Climate restoration can stop ice sheet collapse, but with additional warming to the globally accepted 1.5 C target, of course ice sheet collapse and sea level rise will continue.

The Denali Highway in Central Alaska is 139 miles of mostly gravel, no towns, no gas, virtually no people and with the constant backdrop of the glaciated Alaska Range. This image was taken on the MaClaren River Bridge, the biggest bridge on the route, a good halfway to nowhere.

South Padre Island, King Tide, halfway to high tide. A duneberg is calving into the surf on the left in the middleground. In some places, the dunes have been completely eroded away. Climate restoration can stop sea level rise where with additional warming to 1.5 C, of course sea level keeps rising.

Remember, average global warming over land is double the global average because of the cooling influence of our oceans and ice sheets, or 3.56 degrees C in December (6.4 F). and the average over the arctic is four times the global average or 7.12 C (12.8 F). Importantly, the increase in extreme temperature is far greater than the average, and extreme weather increases nonlinearly because of the basics of heat and energy physics, where a little warming does not create a little more extremeness in the weather, it creates a lot more.
