Rising Sea Levels: A Least Twice What the IPCC Said Just 15 Months Ago

By March 10, 2009February 28th, 2013Sea Level Rise

More News From Copenhagen. 600,000 million people at risk. Likely sea level rise is now over four feet excluding dynamical ice sheet changes. To get to four feet (1.2 meters) of sea level rise in 2100 from where we are today, we must see on average of 13 mm of sea level rise per year for 91 years (about).  At 7 mm sea level rise per year, our beaches and coastal marshes will no longer be able to keep up and will disappear.
